The First Step to a Sales Funnel

I was talking to a client and giving her some strategies on how we can launch her business online. I created a comprehensive sales funnel for her starting with her lead magnet all the way down to her high ticket offer.


On top of the funnel ladder is the opt-in freebie or lead magnet. Something you give away for free in exchange for an email address. This is how you build your list.

I pointed out to her that there are three things that a lead magnet should be:

1. digestible (short and sweet)

2. actionable

3. shows results



Her first reaction was... I don't want to give away actionable steps and give them results because they won't buy the main program if they got the results that they already wanted.


WRONG.


Really, no one will buy your product or service if you don't show people your VALUE.

Keep this question in mind. Why would they buy this program or service from me? Because...

1. you know what you are talking about, you are an expert / an authority in your industry

2. they know you, like you, and trust you.

And you can only show what stuff you are made of if you give them a taste of what you offer - thus - the lead magnet is of utter importance.


The most important thing is that all freebies lead to your main program where the real dollars are!


A Freebie is in a sense, a bait, it should lure you into buying what you want them purchase.

So make it GOOD, HIGH VALUE AND SUPER IMPRESSIVE!
